The House of Seven Gables, a 19th-century stone house is set on two acres surrounded by conserved land. Lovingly restored by the owners, this 4,800-sf home was addressed to create a modern living space in a country setting. High ceilings, wide open hallways, and spacious rooms with natural light, difficult elements to find in stone houses. The ground floor has a living room, dining room, wide center hall, kitchen, family room, laundry room, and half bath. The second level has four bedrooms and two full baths. The oldest part of the house, built in 1840, is now a mud room and office on the second level. Exterior buildings include a stone smokehouse and a barn. There are at least two sites for a pool. New gravel driveway and landscaping were completed to create a more private outside space.
